The Salon Series
presents 3, 1 hour-long recitals by local Indian classical performing artists whose years of dedicated study, training, and performance have shaped distinctive artistic voices. Presented across July, September, and October, the series offers audiences a closer encounter with the depth, nuance, and evolving traditions of Indian classical music and dance as embodied in the practice of our artists.
Our inaugural recital features Bharatanatyam artist Sujit Vaidya, accompanied by Arno Kamolika (nattuvangam), Curtis Andrews (mridangam), Sheema Balakrishnan (vocals), and Shriram Rajagopalan (violin). We invite audiences to experience the repertoire, creativity, and artistic journeys of these performers in an intimate studio theatre setting.
