The Year of Magical Thinking, A play by Joan Didion Directed by Melanie Yeats Featuring Cory Philley “This happened on December 30, 2003. This may seem a while ago but it won’t when it happens to you…” Adapted from Joan Didion’s best-selling memoir, The Year of Magical Thinking is a moving, one- woman tour-de-force about the resiliency of the human heart. It's Didion journey as she grapples with the sudden death of her husband of 40 years and the illness of her only daughter and navigates the uncharted waters of unfathomable grief.
