REVELATIONS
Survival can be dicey “Maximize your chances with Revelations ConsultingTM.”
Apocalypse: noun; from the Greek “ἀποκάλυψις”, meaning “revelation.” When disaster strikes and the world we know melts away, how will you react? Upintheair Theatre and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts have teamed up with Revelations Consulting to help you answer that question in this state-of-the-art disaster preparedness scenario. Revelations combines live performance and an interactive game bundled in an at-home escape room kit. It’s experienced in two parts: first from the comfort of your home, then from an undisclosed location on the Shadbolt Centre’s grounds. After signing up you’ll receive your Scenario Kit and a walkie talkie, hand-delivered by one of our Revelations Consultants. That evening, you’ll tune in to our dedicated frequency for further instructions—how you choose to survive will be up to you.
HOW IT WORKS:
Part 1 Drop off (20 min) Game Drop Off within the delivery range. Location: Your Home. Socially distant over walkie-talkie with your personal Apocalypse Consultant Part 1 Game (45 min) You and anyone in your household can open the Box and the Game begins. Location: Your Home. Socially distant over walkie-talkie.
Part 2 Interactive Performance (90 min) Attend the second part in-person at our socially distant outdoor venue!
Location: Shadbolt Theatre (6450 Deer Lake Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 2J3).
After Party (60 min) join Revelations ConsultingTM for a dance party at the end of the world! Location: Shadbolt Theatre (6450 Deer Lake Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 2J3)

Please see the REVELATIONS Boundary Map to confirm your Household is within range. Think of it like Pizza Delivery. Not in range and want to take part? Accessible REVELATIONS Revelations is wheelchair accessible. Free Transport Day Sept 25: Some free return transport will be provided for folx with mobility issues or for whom travel to and from the show is a barrier, to reach the Shadbolt Centre for Part 2 of Revelations. Minimum 36 hours advance notice required.
Guided Experiences Sept 21-26: Audience that identify as blind or have low vision will require assistance with the experience by someone that is sighted in their household or please arrange a guided experience by connecting with amy@upintheairtheatre.com.
Up to two guided experiences are available per performance during the 2nd week of the run Sept 21/22, 23/24, 25 or 26. Minimum 36 hours advance notice required. Please contact amy@upintheairtheatre.com if you require assistance attending this performance.
Warnings: Coarse Language, Strobe effects, Outdoor Venue (Rain or Shine), Covers content some may find disturbing. This show involves audience movement and participation. Weekday experiences take place over two days/evenings.
