Spring Break at the Burnaby Village Museum

× Stroll through the 1920’s village and visit your favourite historical exhibits. Exhibits are open with Burnaby Village Museum staff to interact with and learn from:

•Stop by the Burnaby Lake General Store to learn about popular store purchases in the 1920’s

•Check out the newly renovated Way Sang Yuen Wat Kee & Co. Herbalist shop in the Village to discover the role Chinese medicine has played in shaping communities like Burnaby

•Visit the Jesse Love Farmhouse to experience a historic family home

•Explore the history of Chinese-Canadians in Burnaby at our feature exhibit, Across the Pacific, in The Stride Studios

•Chat with the teacher at Seaforth School and learn about schooling in early Burnaby

•Find out what a blacksmith does during daily demonstrations at Wagner’s Blacksmith Shop

•Check out an interesting steam demonstration at the Steam Shed on Tuesdays and Fridays

•View the Interurban Tram Car #1223 in the Tram Barn

•Treat yourself at the Ice Cream Parlour (limited to-go menu items, contactless payment only

Please note the Carousel and gift shop are closed.

At this time, there is a maximum of 6 people booked per reservation request. At this time visitors should be from the same household or core bubble.

Prior to entering the museum, all visitors must answer COVID-19 screening questions to ensure that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.

Face masks are recommended at all times for visitors. Where physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) cannot be maintained, visitors are required to wear a mask. Masks are required in ALL buildings.
