× Chance Lovett has one hell of a voice, which she uses to spin soulful tales of loneliness and longing. Her old band, The Chantrelles, were Victoria's premiere soul-revival party band for a minute there; now she's returned with the Broken Hearted, featuring a few former Chantrelles and some new faces. Their all-new batch of songs blend together sweet Northern soul, dirty southern funk, and a dash of modern indie sounds. Influences include Otis Redding, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley, Lee Fields, Etta James, Bill Withers, Beyonce.
