Portiia is an instrumental folk group based in Vancouver, B.C. Canada that aims to bridge the gap between traditional North American folk and contemporary music. Their debut EP creates unique acoustic music that is high energy, intricate and full of imagery. Fronted by Composer/Mandolinist Michael Meroniuk, Portiia is supported by Jocelyn Pettit on Fiddle, Dave Barber on Guitar, Kirby Barber on Upright Bass and Niles Loewen on Cello. (Note Portiia will be performing in a duo format for the Shadbolt show.)

The band is influenced by bluegrass, folk and pop and puts a heavy emphasis on their vocal harmonies. They have played at the CBC Nooners Concert Series, opened for country artist JJ Shiplet and won the 2018 Emerging Artist award.
NOTES: Patrons cannot print E-tickets. All tickets purchased online must be picked up at the Box Office, either during regular Box Office hours, or at Will Call. No refunds on tickets $2.00 fee per ticket for exchanges
